Portable herb garden for under $10

I have found a way I can grow fresh garden herbs without having to bend or worry about pesky pets! I really enjoy gardening but suffer with knee and lower back pain. I also have two cheeky dogs that know how to tear things up quicker than I can plant them! Recently I was at my local recycling centre looking for some second hand pots when I came across an old kettle BBQ. I thought it would make a perfect herb garden so I paid $4.00 for it and brought it home. Not only does it have wheels so I can move it around to optimise sunshine, but it's at waist height (where the dogs can't reach!) and it's a perfect depth for all kinds of plants. I placed scrap felt to cover the holes in the bottom of the BBQ, then filled it with a bag of potting mix ($2.95 from Bunnings) and four plants for $3.00 from the Sunday markets. The whole project cost me under $10 and took five minutes to put together. I currently have strawberries, parsley and coriander planted to pick and enjoy whenever I like!

The best way to win a membership is to write helpful, interesting, unique and error free hints. You need to include how much money you saved, how you saved it, what you did and how much you paid. The more detail you provide the more likely you are to win a 12 month membership.

Which means you have a much higher chance of winning by entering one or two top quality hints than if you entered twenty brief, vague tips. Quality is everything!
